Food Critics

Guess who has two thumbs and HATES rice cereal?  This guy.

Guess who lacks opposable thumbs but loves rice cereal?  This guy.

Brady at Five Months

Brady has been having lots of fun this month trying new things.  To name a few:

Sitting up (with a spotter) and playing with his toys.

Hanging out in his high chair, chewing on everything in sight due to a pesky tooth beginning to poke through:

And rolling back to front!

Brady is very proud of his new rolling skill, but still hates being on his tummy and is not so great at rolling front to back.  So he flips over, spends a few minutes looking around in a very self-satisfied way, and then starts crying when he realizes in horror that he is on his stomach.  Hopefully soon it will dawn on him that he holds the power to flipping back over.

Seven vs. The Dishwasher

As shown here, Seven often sneaks up and licks the dirty dishes as I'm loading the dishwasher. Last week he got more than he bargained for when, while my back was turned, he stuck his head into the dishwasher for a lick and caught his collar on the dishwasher rack. The rattling noise it made startled him and he reared out of the dishwasher, dragging the entire rack full of dishes with him. An ungodly racket ensued as Seven bucked around our front hall in a panic, swinging the rack full of dishes from his neck and littering the floor with cutlery and plates. After what seemed like an eternity but was probably only five seconds, Seven managed to free himself and went skittering down the hallway, ears plastered to his (empty?) skull.

The great news? Nothing broke! I can highly recommend Lenox Tin Can Alley. Their quality testing must involve Labrador Retrievers.

For anyone wondering, Seven was unscarred by this experience- not ten minutes later he was once again neck deep in the dishwasher. No one has ever accused him of being a quick study.
